This section includes general examples of content and copywriting pieces I have created for campaigns I have worked on. This content is primarily B2C (or if nonprofit, focused on external audiences) and focused on provoking thought or providing information on specific topics.
Office of American Spaces Blog Content (2023-2024)
Project Synopsis: I completed an unpaid internship as a Newsletter and Online Content Writer with the U.S. State Department recently. As a lifelong learner and someone interested in continuing to say updated on skills, this internship gave me an opportunity explore new techniques of incorporating A.I. (ethically) into content, researching and working to tight deadlines. My weekly tasks included working closely with the Director and Associate Director of the Office of American Spaces (OAS) to produce content for 160 field offices in countries around the world.
Contributions: I produced 50 percent of the monthly newsletter that was sent to all field offices. I also wrote short-form website content as needed. Lastly, in partnership with three other interns, I also produced 25 percent of an updated project management and event management toolkit for OAS to begin using in 2025.
Outcome: During my internship, I produced eight monthly newsletters. I also learned more about the way the U.S. government is using AI technology to assist their efforts in filling the gap between a smaller workforce to produce quality content for those serving overseas. I was also introduced to and learned how to incorporate the Scrum management technique into my workflow. Note: Cybersecurity ended up not being published on website because of 2023 Government Shutdown negotiations. When government shutdowns are pending OAS ceases online content publishing.
